Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
(Two years of related experience preferred.)Valid driver’s license.
Auto insurance (if transporting youth).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to pass background checks, physical exam, and drug screening.
Committed to working with diverse populations.
Dedicated to quality improvement in services and operations.
Good decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Flexible schedule, including availability on evenings and weekends.
General Responsibilities
Provide care and support based on Bashor’s solution-focused, evidence-based, and client-centered approach.
Understand and follow agency policies, state rules, and accreditation standards.
Stay up to date with child welfare trends and practices.
Participate in campus support rotation and agency-wide teams.
Support clients through all stages of care: intake, treatment, and discharge.
Complete assessments and treatment plans that are family-focused and strengths-based.
Work closely with the treatment team and clinical staff.
Coordinate client appointments and complete case documentation on time.
Support individuals and families through guidance, group work, and connecting them with resources.
Act as a liaison with placing agents and advocate for the child and family.
Attend court, school, and service coordination meetings.
Support parent engagement efforts.
Maintain and manage all client records.
Other duties as assigned.
Program-Specific Responsibilities
Help families with transportation, financial needs, and connecting to services.
Focus on preserving the family while addressing any safety concerns.
Monitor child safety and provide crisis response if needed.
Create and follow treatment/service plans with input from families and DCS (Department of Child Services).
Visit families at home at least once a week and assess home safety.
Work flexible hours, including evenings, to support families.
Participate in after-hours crisis phone coverage.Ensure services meet or exceed DCS standards.
Communicate regularly with the DCS Family Case Manager.
