Youth Care Worker - Third Shift

Bashor Children's Home is seeking energetic, caring, and dedicated Youth Care Workers to support and guide troubled youth (ages 8-18) in a therapeutic setting. In this role, you will supervise and assist youth with their personal growth and safety, while promoting positive behavioral changes. Key Responsibilities
- Create a safe and supportive environment for youth
- Supervise and assist youth with their personal development and well-being
- Work with a team to create individualized care plans for each youth
- Help youth build life skills, coping strategies, and problem-solving abilities
- Lead group activities for social and personal growth
- Monitor and document youth behavior and progress
- Manage crisis situations and apply de-escalation techniques when needed
- Collaborate with staff and professionals to implement effective care plans
- Attend staff meetings and training to improve skills
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 21 or older
- Valid driver’s license and insurance
- Must pass background, physical exam, drug test, and TB test.
Available Schedules:
Full-Time
- 3rd Shift: 10PM to 6AM
- Monthly rotating schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off
- On-call required
PRN (As Needed)
Flexible hours based on availability
Training Requirements (for all roles):
- 8 shadow days (4 first shift, 4 second shift – 8 hrs each)
- Online modules (completed on-site during shadowing)
- 1 week in-person training: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Flexible scheduling begins after training is complete.
Pay begins at $16.11/hour
Bashor Children’s Home residential programs are staffed with three shifts to give 24-hour coverage. Full-time direct care staff on the third shift work a 5-day-on, 2-day-off rotation. All direct care staff must be able to work some weekends on a rotational basis as scheduled. All full-time direct care staff will have on-call responsibilities.

Bashor has become a regional provider for services over the last 100 years and works with over 150 children daily from 22 counties and 3 different states.
