Tuition Reimbursement
Full-Time employees, after one year of full-time employment with Bashor, are eligible for this incentive. Bashor will reimburse up to $1,000 per year of $1,500 per year for those working towards an accredited degree in Nursing, MSW, or Special Education.

Retirement Plan
Full or part time employees are eligible to enroll into Bashor's 403(b) immediately upon hire.

The EAP provides short-term, confidential counseling for employees and their family members.

Medical Insurance
Full-time staff are eligible to enroll in coverage after 90 days of consecutive employment.

Sick Time
Employees begin earning sick days after the first three months of full-time employment. Employees will earn 2 sick days per quarter.

Dental Insurance
Full-time staff are eligible to enroll in coverage after 90 days of consecutive employment. Coverage for diagnostic and preventative dental services, such as exams, cleanings, and X-Rays, plus coverage for basic and major dental services.

11 Holidays
Employees are eligible for holidays after the first three months of full-time employment.

Discounted Gym Membership
Full and part-time employees, including their spouse, are eligible to receive a discount on a gym membership through East Lake Fitness.

Vacation Time
Full-time employees who have been in continuous employment for three months and have successfully completed orientation, shall be eligible for one quarter of their yearly vacation. Vacation time is accrued per pay period.

No matter if you are looking for employment, volunteering, or internship opportunities, the requirements are all the same.
First, you must be 21 years of age or older.
Second, you must have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Third, you must be able to pass a physical and drug screen, along with fingerprinting, criminal history check, and a child protective services check.

Bashor Children's Home offers full-time and PRN positions. If you are currently attending or plan to attend school, we can begin you as a PRN or drop you into the role once schooling begins.
There are opportunities, so be sure to talk about them with the Recruiter or Unit Managers.

Bashor Children's Home only has one location. Due to the work we do, there is no clear way for remote opportunities to be available. We are hands-on all the time.

The ultimate answer is no, but there are always exceptions. If you know someone or are related to a current staff member, let us know. We cannot place you in the same departments, but if we do decide to proceed and bring you onboard, we will be sure to make it a fair and functional environment for both staff and kids.

In addition to the male population, Bashor began accepting girls into specialized programs.

Bashor has been focused on creating and providing schools, activity centers, new residential units, classrooms, offices, medical clinics and Community Based Services for all residents, their families, and the community.

Bashor Children’s Home is a 501-C-3 non profit child welfare agency affiliated with the United Methodist Church. We provide help for troubled children and their families through residential care, day treatment/ alternative education, foster care, and many other services. Bashor has become a regional provider for services over the last 100 years and works with over 150 children daily from 22 counties and 3 different states.
